Material Handler

We are looking for a passionate and driven Material Handler to join our growing team at PSI.

As a Material Handler are you responsible to pick, pack, and hand materials for manufacturing routinely. You must be comfortable working under pressure and extremely tight deadlines. You will be working in a team setting and coordination with the Production manager is necessary to ensure logistical efficiency. Receiving inventory and verification of count will be required, in addition to restocking warehouse inventory.

Our goal in 2020 is to continue to expand the market share while maintaining top level customer satisfaction. We have achieved tremendous growth over the last four years and we are seeking a Material Handler to join our Production team.


Location: Richmond Hill (16th Ave. & Leslie)

Rate: Range from ($16-18/HR) Based on experience and proven abilities.

Shift: (Monday – Friday) 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Work Setting: Production – Fast-Paced

  • Pull and prepare materials for manufacturing as scheduled
  • Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
  • Examine inbound shipment content and compare with records, manifests, invoices, purchase orders, to verify the accuracy of shipment, report quality variances.
  • Pick and pack packages with extreme accuracy
  • Operate filling, capping, and labeling equipment
  • Assist and support Production team leader on any urgent issues relating to Production matters
  • Maintain receiving and general production area at or above standard.

Required Skills

  • Experience: 1- 2 Years of Material handling
  • English – both written and oral
  • Certified forklift operator/able to be certified to operate a forklift will be an asset
  • Must be physically fit and able to move packages up to 25-40lbs
  • Must be highly proficient with computers and shipping system
  • Must be able to work under extremely tight shipping deadlines
  • Must be proficient with MS Windows, and computer literate
  • Having a high degree of problem-solving, planning, and organizing skills are required.
